Weddings/events

Elaine Barber has more than twenty years’ experience playing for weddings, receptions, dinners & brunches. For these events she can play all classical music (from Bach and Pachelbel to Debussy and Satie), or some classic jazz and pop can be added to the mix (from George Gershwin and Cole Porter to the Beatles and Stevie Wonder).

How it works:

For events such as receptions, brunches, and dinners, you pay by the hour – more for the first hour because that includes the moving of the harp, a large and delicate instrument. For weddings there is a flat fee that includes a prelude of 15-20 minutes, processional and recessional music, and about five minutes afterwards as the guests leave.
